Use Presentation Mode

Use the Presentation Mode command to enter a mode suitable for displaying a model to the public, as might be shown in a kiosk. Presentation Mode is designed to replicate a physical (e.g., wood, cardboard, foam core) model of a job site/building. In Presentation Mode, the application window is maximized and all unnecessary menus, panes, and views are hidden to increase space for the Plan View and 3D View. As a result, program controls are limited.

Prerequisites:

  • Defined views in the order in which you want them to sequentially display when in Presentation Mode
  • Active graphic view for which the defined views will be presented/shown.

Note: Only the defined views for the one active view, e.g., Plan View or 3D View, will be shown in the Presentation Mode.

To access the command:

  • Select Presentation Mode in Support > Viewing Tools.
  • Click the icon on the Defined View command's toolbar to launch the mode (or press [Shift] + [F12]).

To use Presentation Mode:

  1. In the Automatic advance time box, specify the number of seconds between the sequential display of defined views.

Note: Entering 0 in the first box means that the view will not return to displaying the defined views after being manually controlled and then inactive. Entering 0 in the second box means that Presentation Mode will not advance from the first defined view to the second.

  2. In the Automatic reset time box, specify the number of seconds of inactivity (after manual control) after which Presentation Mode will resume cycling through defined views.
  3. In the Exit password box, enter a word you can enter as the Administrator to exit presentation mode.
  4. Click OK.

Your defined views display in the order you have them arranged, first for the 3D View and then for the Plan View.

  5. To stop the display of defined views to investigate the model, click-and-drag in the view.

Note: Graphic view navigation gestures in Presentation Mode are the same as in normal mode (see in 2D View Navigation and 3D View Navigation).

Options:

  • Display media controls - Check this box to include standard video buttons (play, stop, pause, rewind, fast forward) when in Presentation Mode.

To return to the fully-functional mode:

  1. Press [F12].
  2. Double-click PresentationMode in the Recent Commands list.

    or

Type Presentationmode in the Command box, and press [Enter].
