Copy a Tunnel Design

Use the Copy Tunnel command to create a new tunnel design based on the properties in an existing tunnel design that you can then edit as necessary.

Prerequisites:

Licensed module. See the Subscription Plans page. For a license matrix by command, see the License page in the TBC Community. Also see View and manage licensed features.

To copy a tunnel design:

  1. Select Copy Tunnel in Tunnels > Edit to display the Copy Tunnel command pane.
  2. Enter a name for the new copied tunnel design in the New tunnel name field.
  3. Select the tunnel design you are copying in the Source tunnel drop-down list and do one of the following as applicable:
    • If the source tunnel is a regular tunnel design (not vertical shaft), select the corridor to which you will assign the new copied tunnel in the Target corridor drop-down list.
    • If the source tunnel is a vertical shaft tunnel design, do either of the following:
      • Check the Make an exact copy of the source vertical shaft check box to create the new tunnel design at the exact same location as the source tunnel.
      • Complete the displayed location fields to specify a different location and rotation for the new vertical shaft tunnel design. See Create a Vertical Shaft Tunnel Design for additional instructions.
  4. Click OK.

The new tunnel node, along with all of the source tunnel's child nodes, are displayed in the Project Explorer.

You can now edit the new tunnel design as necessary.
