Create a Tunnel Design
Use the Create Tunnel command to create a horizontal tunnel design based on a selected tunnel corridor.

To create a tunnel design:
- If the Create Tunnel command pane is not already displayed, select Create Tunnel in Tunnels > Create to display it.
- Enter a Name for the new tunnel, and select the Corridor on which you want to base it.
- Specify the Station Interval, which is used to determine the increments used with the video controls when you view a tunnel in the Tunnel View.
- Select the appropriate Template alignment apply method, which determines how tunnel templates are applied to the vertical alignment.
In the following illustration, the red linework indicates a tunnel template being applied using the Perpendicular option. The blue linework indicates a tunnel template being applied using the Vertical option
This property controls how station position, delta distance, horizontal/vertical offset, and measured points are calculated, as shown in the following profile views:
Perpendicular:
Vertical:
- Click OK.
The new tunnel node displays in the Project Explorer nested beneath the selected corridor.
The Create Tunnel Template command pane displays, enabling you to create templates used to apply one or more tunnel shapes along the tunnel corridor.
