Resolve a Conflict in Site Maps

Resolve inconsistencies between a site map you have included in your site data and site maps for the same job site on assigned controllers by choosing which file to use for all. A conflict is indicated by the active Resolve button with the icon in the Job Site Manager command pane.

Causes of a site map conflict include differences in site map file names, dates, or the objects they contain.

Note: You cannot resolve a conflict in site maps if there is a conflict in site units.
Note: The Undo and Redo commands do not affect any of the functions that synchronize files. Undo and Redo affect only edits made to database objects within your project; this does not include files in the data synchronization area (which SCS uses). If you try to undo a conflict resolution, the Resolve button remains disabled because the conflict is still resolved.

To resolve a site map conflict:

Click Resolve in the Job Site Manager.
Click Yes if asked if you want to resolve conflicts by using the project-based map. Otherwise, click No. The Resolve Site Map Conflict dialog displays, showing site maps in your project and on assigned controllers that are in conflict.
Select a site map file in the list, and click OK. The conflict is resolved.
Warning: Resolving a conflict by selecting the project-based site map overwrites the site map on assigned controllers when they are synchronized.
