Resolve a Conflict in Site Calibrations

Resolve inconsistencies between a site calibration you have included in your job site data and calibrations for the same site on assigned controllers by choosing which calibration to use for all. A conflict is indicated by the active Resolve button with the icon in the SCS Site Manager command pane.

Causes of a site calibration conflict include differences in site calibration names or dates. In addition, any differences between the coordinate system, datum, geoid, projection, or shift grid you specified in your project and those on assigned controllers will need to be resolved.

Note: If you have file overwrite protection enabled for site calibrations, you will not be able to resolve a site calibration conflict.
Note: The Undo and Redo commands do not affect any of the functions that synchronize files. Undo and Redo affect only edits made to database objects within your project; this does not include files in the data synchronization area (which SCS and GCS use). If you try to undo a conflict resolution, the Resolve button remains disabled because the conflict is still resolved.

To resolve a site calibration conflict:

  1. Click Resolve in the Job Site Manager.
  2. Click Yes if asked if you want to resolve conflicts. The Resolve Site Calibration Conflict dialog displays, showing any calibration in your project and all .dc calibration files for the site on the assigned controllers.
  3. Select either a project-based or controller-based calibration (or coordinate system file) in the list.

Warning: Resolving a conflict by selecting the project-based calibration overwrites the calibration on assigned controllers when they are synchronized.

  4. Click OK. The conflict is resolved.

Note: If you have a job site design assigned to a machine, when you click OK, the design's model will indicate that it has a conflict. There is one exception to this case: The design did not already have a conflict, the site calibration conflict was not caused by other changes in the project, and you did not import a new site calibration as part of resolving the conflict.
