Versions 1.0 to 3.4 are supported.

A coordinate system is required.

GCS and Accugrade: all versions from 5.5 to 13.0 are supported.

SiteVision: version 5.5 is supported.

CAT Grade Control: all versions from 12.0 to 13.0 are supported.

For PCS, versions 1.0 to 2.2 are supported.

Site settings

TBC supports a number of units of measure that are not supported by SCS.

Site calibration

One calibration is supported per job site. File overwrite protection is supported.

One calibration is supported per design. File overwrite protection is not supported.

Conflicts to resolve show in the Model group for each design, but can be resolved at one time using the Resolve button for the Site Calibration group in the Job Site Manager.

Control points

This supports file overwrite protection.

Version 3.4 of SCS900 enables you to store field-created points in a <control points>.field.csv file. You can also send updated office-approved control points from Trimble Business Center to the field using a <control points>.office.csv file.

Controllers

External job site designs

The data on SCS site controllers can be imported.

It can only be reassigned to another SCS site controller, if it is already assigned to a controller of the same or compatible type.

It can only be reassigned to another GCS machine, if it is already assigned to a machine of the same or compatible type, e.g. GCS900 version 11 and AccuGrade version 11 are compatible types.

If the external design is only assigned to data cards for GCS/AccuGrade machines, none of the data on the machines can be imported.

It can only be reassigned to another PCS machine, if it is already assigned to a machine of the same or compatible type.

If the external design is only assigned to data cards for PCS/AccuGrade machines, none of the data on the machines can be imported.

Create controllers/machines

na

Site controllers can only be added when they are synchronized using Office Synchronizer.

Note: These options are available for GCS machines only, from software versions 11.00 and higher, based on a combination of the software version and the GPS firmware version. See the compatibility chart for details. You can also hover over the icon next to each setting to see the compatible GPS firmware versions.

For versions from 11.00 to 12.50:

  • Enable extended coordinate system support - Check this box to configure machines to support additional projections, extended coordinate range, South Azimuth coordinate systems with South and West positive coordinate directions, and additional coordinate systems, such as Icelandic.
  • Enable support for embedded geoid sub-grid - Check this box to support exporting a <1 KB sub-grid of a geoid embedded in the coordinate system (.cfg file) to machine controllers. This option is available if the extended coordinate system support (above) is enabled. Use it to embed a subset of a geoid for vertical adjustment (instead of the inclined plane approximation method) when the project coordinate system contains a geoid.

Note: If a geoid is present in the project and this option is not enabled, an inclined plane approximating the geoid is exported to GCS machines.

For versions from 12.60 and above:

  • Enable MS990 compatibility - Check this box to stay compatible with coordinate systems used on MS990 receivers (which use only embedded geoid subgrids).

Note: You can still select Project > Export > Construction > Machine...exporter to use these features on an MS992 receiver.
Note: Do not check this box if you are using an MS992 receiver; leaving it unchecked enables support for full grid geoids (in the .cal file), shift grids, and datum grids.

Using version 12.60 on an MS992 Smart Antenna/Receiver:

  • You can use shift grids, datum grids, and full size geoid models (no need to create a geoid sub-grid)
  • Coordinate systems are written to a .cal file, instead of the previous .cfg file (unless there is no geoid, in which case a .cfg file is written in addition to the .cal file). The .cal file is stored in the Design folder, and files for the geoid, shift grid, and datum grids, are now stored in the GeoData folder.

Extended coordinate system and embedded geoid support are not available.

GCS900 and AccuGrade versions 11 and 11.1 do not support avoidance zones with arcs. If you pick lines with arcs, the arcs will be linearized.

GCS900 and AccuGrade versions 11 and 11.1 do not support avoidance zones whose area is less than 0.001 square meters. If you select a closed line that encompass less than this area, it is ignored in the export.

If you select a data card for a GCS machine, you cannot select files individually, but you can select entire sets of files for job sites or designs. The recipient of the e-mail can extract the compressed file directly into the root folder of a compact flash data card.

The Only show files modified since last synchronization box is disabled because GCS machines are not supported by Office Synchronizer.
