Using the main panel

The main panel shows the contents of the folder you have selected in the Sidebar. Use the main panel to view, manage, and interact with all your files and folders.

The bar at the top of the main panel contains:

  • breadcrumbs / a navigation path showing your current folder path. This path is scrollable and tappable, enabling you to tap any folder name in the path to jump directly to that folder.

  • a back arrow that navigates you up to the parent folder.

  • Sort - opens a menu to sort the displayed items by different criteria, such as name, date, or type.

  • Change Layout - toggles the view between a detailed List View and a thumbnail-based Grid View.

  • New Folder- create a new, empty folder within the current directory.

You can perform a range of actions on the files and folders within the main panel:

  • Single-item actions: To act on a single file or folder, tap the three-dot menu to its right. A context menu opens with options such as:

  • Multi-select mode: To select multiple items at once, tap-hold on any file or folder. This activates multi-select mode, enabling you to tap additional items to add them to your selection. The available actions for the selected group will then be displayed.

  • Drag and drop: Drag and drop is the most efficient way to copy files. Tap one item to select it, or to select multiple items, tap-hold an item then tap additional items, then tap hold the selected item / items and drag it / them to a new location, such as another folder in the Sidebar. This feature is especially powerful when used in the Split Screen view to move files between two open windows.
