Map Viewer
A project in TerraFlex is based on a map workspace in Trimble Connect.
Use Trimble Connect Map Viewer to create and manage the map workspace for your TerraFlex Projects. Map workspace files can be identified by the file extension .tmap.
-
For Cloud Projects, when you create a new map workspace, a file with the same name is automatically created inside your Trimble Connect project. Each map workspace in your Trimble Connect project will appear in TerraFlex as a TerraFlex Cloud Project. You can assign different TerraFlex projects to your field crews to work on.
-
For Local Projects created from a TerraFlex Project Template file, you must still create a map workspace in Trimble Connect, which is then converted into a TerraFlex Project Template file created using Trimble Terra™ Office. See Working with Local Projects for more information
When you click on a map workspace file in Trimble Connect it automatically launches the Map Viewer and loads the layers and data within your map workspace. You can bookmark individual map workspaces to make it easier to access your TerraFlex projects.
Use the Map Viewer tools to manage your map workspaces, and to structure and manage the data collection work for the project:
-
Create the map workspace for your project.
-
Manage you map workspaces—you can duplicate, archive, remove, export, and share your map workspaces.
-
-
Import existing data to the map workspace.
-
Add form templates for collecting data in the field.
-
-
Set up positioning configurations for correcting GNSS data in real time or back in the office.
-
-
View recent changes to the workspace using the Activity log.
-
Select features to send for update in the field.
-
