Job Site Design Options

Use these options to:

  • Add and edit job site design data, such as a model, stakeout points, and a design map.
  • In addition, you can change the site controllers to which the design is assigned. They are available in the Job Site Design Manager.
  • Upload job site design files, such as surface and linework to WorksOS, via the Connected Community (TCC), using the Synchronize with Business Data Center via Office Synchronizer command.

Options

Controller Manager

Click this to open the Controller Manager.

SCS Data Manager

Click this to launch the SCS Data Manager.

Name

Design name - This shows the name of the current design.

Model

Type - This shows whether the design model is a surface, road surface, alignment, or 3D linework.

Last update - This displays the date the model was added or last modified.

... (Rename) - Click this to modify the default name of the file that is saved to the data synchronization area (see chart at the bottom of the page).

Edit - Click this to display the Edit Job Site Design Model dialog, where you can add a model to the design, or edit an existing model.

Resolve - If there is a conflict with the model, click this to display the conflict resolution dialog. The icon indicates that there is a conflict.

Stakeout points

Select - Click this to highlight the stakeout points currently included in the design data.

... (Rename) - Click this to modify the default name of the file that is saved to the data synchronization area (see chart at the bottom of the page).

- Click this to display the Add/Remove Stakeout Points dialog, in which you can change the stakeout points included in the design data.

Resolve - If there is a conflict with the stakeout points, click this to display the conflict resolution dialog.

Design map

Select - Click this to highlight the map objects currently included in the design data.

... (Rename) - Click this to modify the default name of the file that is saved to the data synchronization area (see chart at the bottom of the page).

- Click this to display the Add/Remove Design Map Objects dialog, in which you can change the map objects included in the design data.

Resolve - If there is a conflict with the design map, click this to display the conflict resolution dialog.

Controllers

Reassign - Click this to display the Reassign Design dialog, in which you can change the controllers to which the design is assigned.

External services

Synchronize with Business Data Center via Office Synchronizer - Check this box to upload design surface and linework files to the Business Data Center filespace on TCC. These files can then be used in WorksOS.

Note: For machines, the design file names (.svd, .svl, .cfg) are always just [designname]. Their file names must match the design name.
