Advanced View Filter Settings

Use these options to manage view filters, including controlling selectability and how new objects are handled. Most of the standard View Filter Manager options are also available here.

Options

Filter name

Type a new name in this box to rename the selected view filter.

Include newly created layers and surfaces

Check/uncheck this box to include/exclude object types, layers, and surfaces that are added to the project after the view filter was defined.

Locked

Check/uncheck this box to make the selected view filter uneditable/editable.

Group options (Flag, Raw Data, Photogrammetry, Layers, CAD)

Also see Context menu options below.

Visible

Check this to deselect Visible for all of the data in a view filter category, thereby making it invisible in graphic views.

Visible Hidden

These icons indicate whether the category is shown or hidden in the View Filter Manager (not this dialog). To show or hide a category, select the name of the category, right-click, and select Show/Hide Category from the context menu.

Color Line style Line weight

Select options in these lists to customize the look of lines per view filter. This allows you to set different colors, line styles, and line weights in different view filters for flexibility when plotting. For example, you may want a set of lines (such as contours) to be bold, colored, and solid on one sheet, but fine, black, and dashed on the next sheet. Apply these different view filters when you Create a Sheet Set or Create a Dynaview to be placed on a sheet.

Note: If line properties are set to ByLayer, these settings override the line color, weight, and style of the lines. Otherwise, changing the line color, weight, and style manually (via the Properties pane) will take precedence over these settings in the View Filter Manager.

Visible / Selectable
(in the groups)

Check/uncheck the boxes in each category to control what is visible and selectable in graphic views.
In addition to the standard data types and layers available in the View Filter Manager, there are groups for features and CAD data.
