General settings

To configure general Penmap settings, in the Project list tap and then tap General.

Language

Select the language for the application.

Distance units

Select the units to use for distance measurements.

Angle units

Select the units to use for angle measurements.

Project wizard

Clear the Project wizard enabled check box to disable the project wizard and streamline the steps for creating a project. This is useful if you always use the same project settings.

Appearance

Tap to change the measurement method and survey method buttons shown on the button bar. Tap next to a button to hide it or tap to display a button you have previously hidden.

When you change the buttons in the button bar you must quit the project and then reload it before you can continue.

	Snap node	Add nodes using the Snap node method.
	Free node	Add nodes using the Free node method.
	Chain/Off.	Add nodes using the Chain/Offset method.
	Extend Hz.	Add nodes using the Extend horizontal method.
	Bilat.	Add nodes using the Bilateration method.
	Construction	Add nodes using the Construction method.
	Enter data	Add nodes using the Enter data method.
	Replace	Replace parts of the geometry of a polygon or polyline using another data collection method.
	Move node	Adjust the geometry of a feature by moving a node using another data collection method.
	Split line	Split a line in an existing polygon or polyline feature by adding a node to the line using another data collection method.
	Stakeout	Start staking out nodes.
