Using the Home screen

When you have selected a project (cloud or local), the Home screen opens with the project's configuration loaded.

NOTE – If your TerraFlex, Catalyst, or RTX license is due to expire soon, a notification appears at the top of the Home screen, so that you can take action to renew it before the expiry date.

On the Home screen you can:

  • View and manage the Location status / GNSS receiver connection status.

The first time you open TerraFlex, you are prompted to connect to a GNSS receiver for high accuracy data collection. Tap Connect to Trimble GNSS; see Connecting to a Trimble GNSS receiver for more information.

If you haven't previously connected to a GNSS receiver, TerraFlex automatically connects to the internal Location Services on your device. Once you have connected to a GNSS receiver, when you start TerraFlex it automatically attempts to connect to the last GNSS receiver you were connected to.

If you were previously connected to a GNSS receiver but the connection is lost, you are warned that the connection has failed. Tap Reconnect to quickly reconnect to the receiver you were previously connected to.

To view accuracy and location information, and any real-time corrections information (if applicable) for your connected receiver, tap the Location status tile or tap More info (top right of the screen).

NOTE – To manage your GNSS receiver connection at any time, tap / GNSS configuration.

  • See My work. This tile shows whether you are collecting to your active project or your active task; the number of forms collected today; and total number of forms collected.

TIP – You can quickly open your tasks from here; whether you are collecting to a Project or a Task, tap the Project name or Task name in the My work tile to open the Tasks screen, then tap Task (x) to collect to a task rather than the project.

  • Select a form template to start collecting data.

  • Switch to:

    • Tasks. See Working with tasks for more information.

    • Forms, to view the forms associated with your selected project, and select a form to update or add a new form to collect data. See Using the Forms screen.

    • the Map. You can work from the Map screen to collect new data or update existing forms, and to navigate to a selected feature or to specific coordinates. See Working in the Map for details.

To return to the Home screen from any other screen, tap Home.
