Remove Media Files from Objects
There are various methods for removing media files from objects. This topic describes two:
- Select the object, and then select the media files to remove.
- Select the media file, and then select the objects from which you want to remove it.
Feel free to experiment to see if other methods might better fit your workflow.
Prerequisites:
- See the Subscription Plans page. For a license matrix by command, see the License page in the TBC Community. Also see View and manage licensed features.
To remove a media file by selecting the object first:
- In the Project Explorer, Plan View, or 3D View, select the object from which you want to remove one or more media files. Then right-click and select Remove Media Files.
Optionally, you can select multiple objects from which you want to remove the same media file(s).
- In the Remove Media Files dialog, select the file(s) you want to remove from the selected object and click OK.
The media file is no longer assigned to the object.
If the removed media file was the only file assigned to the object, the media folder for the object is deleted.
If the removed media file is not assigned to any other objects in the project, it is displayed beneath the Media Files node
in the Project Explorer, unassociated with any media folder.
