Convert a Line into a Haul Road
Use the Convert to Haul Road command to define a network of haul roads by selecting lines or automatically generated paths and converting them to haul roads. Use haul roads for mass haul analyses to connect:
- earthwork sites to a job site or a corridor
- different sections of a corridor
Prerequisites:
- License; See the Subscription Plans page. For a license matrix by command, see the License page in the TBC Community. Also see View and manage licensed features.
- Lines, polylines or linestrings that represent roads or paths automatically generated by the Site Mass Haul Analysis.
To access the command:
- Select Convert to Haul Road in Site Mass Haul > Earthwork.
To convert lines into haul roads
- In a graphic view, pick one or more lines that you want to use as haul roads, or click Options and choose a selection method from the context menu.
- Click Apply. The lines are converted into haul roads.
- Click Close.
- In the Project Explorer, expand the Earthworks node. Expand the Haul Roads node. Right click the new haul road. Select Properties and enter the properties of the haul road.
Dependencies:
The Haul Road Connection Tolerance that you set determines if haul roads are connected to other haul roads. To change this tolerance, select Project Settings in the Quick Access Toolbarand select Computations > Mass Haul Connection Tolerance.
