Rename Piles

Use the Change Pile ID command to change the names of individual piles based on text labels.

Prerequisites:

• Licensed module; See the Subscription Plans page. For a license matrix by command, see the License page in the TBC Community. Also see View and manage licensed features.
• One or more piles with duplicate names

To access the command:

• Select Change Pile ID.

To change pile IDs:

1. In the Original box, pick the pile to extract its name.
2. In the Replacement box, type a new name for the pile.
3. To pick the replacement name from CAD text in your model, check the Select from CAD text box and pick the name in the Plan View.
4. Select an option in the Duplicate Point Names group:
   • Do not create a pile - Select this to prevent the creation of a pile wherever a pile ID is not unique (duplicated).
   • Create pile with a unique name - Select this to create piles at all selected points, but append each duplicate pile ID with an incremented number (e.g., A15 becomes A15(1)).
5. Click Apply.
