Coordinates Scroll

The Coordinates scroll displays values such as:

  • Grid coordinate (northing, easting)
  • Latitude, longitude
  • Surface name, elevation, and slope

Note: The Coordinates scroll will only show values for the 'active' surface. To show a surface's elevation and/or slope, it has to be selected in a graphic view or Project Explorer. You can see the name of that surface by toggling Surface Name on in the scroll pane or by finding the bold surface name in the Project Explorer.

  • Alignment name, station, and offset
  • Azimuth and distance (relative to an anchor point)
  • Template end areas (cut/fill materials and areas along a corridor)
  • Delta X and delta Y (relative to an anchor point)

The values shown are based on the position of the cursor in a graphic view, and depend on what type of view the cursor is in.

To use the Coordinates scroll:

  1. Display the scroll and right-click in it for which values to show.
  2. Select any type of value to show or hide when using the scroll.

Note: Although all of the possible values can be selected in the context menu, only certain values will display for each type of graphic view. For example, elevation and offset values will display in profile and cross-section views, but not in the Plan View. The coordinates scroll cannot be used in the 3D View.

  3. Move the cursor into a 2D view. The values at the cursor's position are displayed in the dialog.

Note: If you cannot see all of the values you have selected, drag the edge of the Coordinates scroll window to make it larger.
