Workflow for Plotting a Corridor Mass Haul Diagram
In the Corridor Mass Haul Diagram, the color of ordinates is determined by Project Settings > View > Corridor Mass Haul Diagram for total usable and unusable material and the Material and Site Improvement Manager for a single material. When you have completed your final balance and the mass haul diagram is ready for plotting you can edit an individual ordinates color, line style, and line weight. The ordinates balance line can be given a different color, line style, and line weight to the ordinate so it can be seen clearly in the corridor mass haul plot.
Note: Refreshing the corridor mass haul will remove customization of the appearance of ordinates and therefore you must edit these settings just prior to plotting.
To edit a single ordinate's color, line style, and line weight:
- Run the Line Style Manager command to import line styles you want to use in your plot. See Manage Line Styles help topic.
- In the Corridor Mass Haul Diagram, click a mass haul ordinate that you want to edit. If the Properties pane is not displayed, right click the ordinate and select Properties.
- In the Properties pane, expand the Appearance group. Select the color, line style, and line weight for the selected ordinate when it is not balanced.
If the ordinate is balanced but some unbalanced material remains then the original color will show the portion of unbalanced material for the ordinate.
- Select the color line style and line weight for the ordinate when it is balanced. Use this setting to help determine what ordinates have been balanced.
- Repeat with remaining ordinates.
Use the View filter to hide ordinates you do not want to plot.

Help by Command |
Notes |
|
1. |
Open a project with a corridor mass haul that you want to plot. |
|
|
2. |
In the Mass Haul Diagram, create rectangles or polygons around the area of the mass haul you want to plot. |
Only the mass haul ordinates and the balance lines will be plotted. To plot the mass haul diagram on multiple sheets, draw multiple rectangles. You can create rectangles in the main corridor mass haul view, the instantaneous view and the profile view. |
|
3. |
Create a top-level collection to contain sheet sets and all of their sheets. |
The plan set, which is a container for one or more sheet sets, appears in the Project Explorer. You can also save a plan set as a template. |
|
4. |
Create a second-level collection (beneath the plan set) to contain elements that you want to appear on every sheet in the sheet set. |
This command opens automatically after you create a plan set. Select Custom as the type. In the sheet list, add a sheet name for each rectangle you have drawn in the Mass Haul Diagram. You can add additional sheets later using the Create Custom Sheet command. The sheet set appears beneath the plan set in the Project Explorer. |
|
5. |
Create items you want to appear in every sheet in the sheet set. For example, borders, project information or company logos. |
The sheet view is in paper space. |
|
6. |
Create a Dynaview to insert the relevant section of your mass haul diagram into the sheet. Create a Dynaview for each frame you created in the mass haul diagram. |
Dynaviews can be used to include Mass Haul ordinates and balances on sheets in custom sheet sets. Select one of the frames you created in Step 2. Ensure you have the correct sheet open in the sheet view. To specify the location of the mass haul diagram, click in the sheet view. Since the vertical scale on a mass haul diagram is usually much smaller than the horizontal scale you will need to apply a vertical exaggeration of less than one to fit the diagram onto your sheet. |
|
7. |
Review your sheets. |
Select a sheet and open a new Sheet View. |
|
8. |
If needed, create another second-level collection (sheet set) to contain unique sheets, such as a title sheet and/or sheet showing objects from the Plan View. |
Create Sheet Set (Custom) |
The sheet names you enter appear in the Project Explorer under the custom sheet set you created. |
9. |
Print/plot one or more sheets from the plan set. |
