For details, see Create and Edit Drafting Data.
Validation Issues
-
Design Validation (BETA) - You can now validate design VCL files directly within the 3D Viewer, under Data Packages, prior to dispatching them to Earthworks devices. This initial release introduces a targeted set of validation rules that mirror the edge-case checks performed natively by Earthworks upon file receipt. After validation, the issues are generated and displayed in the data panel. For each issue group, a clear explanation is offered, together with an actionable recommendation, and the layer names containing the reported objects. For details, see Validate Design Issues
Measurements
-
Measure angles - You can now make angle measurements in the 3D Viewer. These measurements are stored with your other measurements so your colleagues can reference them.
-
Volume graphics - When creating a volumetric measurement, you can now see the cut/fill heatmap. The color gradient is currently a fixed value.
-
Volume Legend - When you select a 3D volume, a color legend is now displayed showing what the heatmap colors represent.
-
Customize Area Measurement Styles - Modify the line style (solid, dashed, or dotted), line weight and fill transparency for area measurements through the measurement style tab.
-
Generate Long Sections - You can now generate section views from a selected trajectory or alignment on the Measurements toolbar. Plotted long sections also include a 2D chart.
For details, see Work with Trajectories and Alignments and Make and Save Measurements.
-
Toolbar Visibility - The visibility of the Measurements toolbar and the Drafting toolbar is now mutually exclusive, meaning only one will be shown at a time.
Drafting
-
Join line improvements -
-
You can now use the join operation to join two lines that are touching each other.
-
The line joining function has been improved to highlight what the newly proposed line would look like.
-
Lines are no longer being combined when you draw a line from one endpoint to another.
-
-
Shape Closure -
-
Join Start to End - You can now close a shape using the join operation to connect the start and end points.
-
3D Polygon Drawing Close Button - When creating a polygon in the 3D Viewer, a Close button now appears once three or more points are placed. This allows you to complete the shape easily without needing to re-select the initial point.
-
Polygon Auto-Closure Mechanism - Placing an intermediate point in close proximity to the start vertex now triggers an automatic closure of the polygon, omitting any remaining points.
-
-
Remove objects - When you have one or more objects selected, you can now click the Delete icon on the floating toolbar.
-
SVL text support - Text from an imported SVL file is now displayed within the Design Preview and Design Data Package pane.
-
Edit surfaces - A new Surface Editor pane has been added, allowing you to:
-
See details like the count of triangles, vertices, and objects that make up a surface.
-
Add and remove objects that comprise the surface.
-
Rename surfaces and change their colors (this can be undone).
-
Delete surfaces.
For details, see Create and Edit Drafting Data.
Designs
-
Design Data Text Support - Text embedded within designs is now viewable in the Design Preview. This text visualization is supported for VCL, SVL, DXF, and DWG files, which brings critical design and linework annotations into view, helping you better understand your design's specific details. For details, see .
-
Design Preview Message - You are now notified during import into the Design Preview when the selected file types do not support rendering.
- Publish to all devices toggle - The design publishing workflow in WorksManager has been updated so that designs are sent to all current and future devices only when Publish to all devices is specifically enabled. If you manually select all devices in a project, WorksManager now treats that as a one-time selection and will not automatically send the design to devices added later. Additionally, if a project has no devices yet, you can still choose whether future devices should receive the design.NOTE: Publish to all devices is not available for VCL files, so compatible devices must still be selected manually.
For details, seePublish a Design
Members
Permissions
-
View Heatmap Color and Legend - With only Viewer role permissions for a project, you can now select a volume calculation and see the heatmap colors and legend. Previously, the volume was selectable, but no heatmap or legend appeared for Viewer accounts; Viewers could toggle heat maps on/off, but only saw the boundary outline without the actual heatmap. For details, see Overview of Roles and Permissions.
General
Import/Export/Upload
-
Trimble now provides an implementation of ISO/TS 15143-4 Worksite Data Exchange within WorksManager that supports Infrakit customers moving forward. Infrakit customers may continue using supported Trimble devices within the Infrakit Office project tracking system as described in this downloadable PDF:
Product Bulletin - Infrakit Worksite Data Exchange Integration with WorksManager ProFuture help updates will appear in the Infrakit Worksite Data Exchange topic.
Status Notifications
-
Notifications for Imports, Exports, and Reports - You can now receive the same status notices of import, export, and report actions that you see in WorksOS. Each time a file is imported, or an export or report is generated, WorksManager now tracks the progress of the process so you know if your file is still being imported or if you are waiting for an export or report to generate. The notification icon will also indicate if an import, export, or report fails. For details, see See Status Notifications.
WorksManager Pro
-
You can now manually upgrade an existing WorksManager project to WorksManager Pro.
-
You can now downgrade a WorksManager Pro subscription to Core in the store.
For details, contact your dealer.
Performance.
-
Performance Improvement - Surface deletion performance has been improved when the last object is removed.
Field Systems and other Integrations
Trimble Connected Community (TCC)
-
Enhanced File Explorer Functions - While basic file operations have existed in WorksManager, new folder-level operations are now available. You can now move, copy, and delete entire folders directly within the web interface, which acts as a direct wrapper around TCC, meaning any data stored in TCC is visible and manageable here. This is useful for cases like moving work orders from one surveyor's data collector to another.
-
Third-Party IBSS Sharing - You can now enable sharing with up to 100 Trimble/non-Trimble rovers per Internet base station.
-
Trimble Synchronizer Data can now be accessed from Device Data of devices other than EC520.
-
You can now delete empty folders.
-
The file/folder list in the copy/move wizard is now alphabetically sorted.
TCC, the predecessor product to Trimble WorksManager, runs on legacy infrastructure that is vulnerable to external risks and is non-scalable for future business/technology improvements.
For details, see this WorksManager Community blog post.
Siteworks
-
Siteworks Support for Edited Designs - Designs edited within the 3D viewer are now correctly supported in Siteworks.

-
Point Cloud Rendering: Support has been added for modifying visual settings, including point density, size, and color mode.
Field Systems and other Apps
WorksOS
-
Machine compaction data (amplitude, vibration) was missing from WorksOS and not sortable via filters, despite data being visible on the machine and in tag files.
Siteworks
-
Design changes not sent to the field - Design edits made in WorksManager did not appear in Trimble Siteworks.
Known Issues and Limitations
-
In some cases, line thickness in the 3D Viewer may appear disproportionately wider than in the source application (e.g., in Trimble Business Center). If you previously edited imported design data in the 3D Viewer and now find issues with line thickness, you will need to select Delete all Changes on the toolbar at the top of the Design Packages pane and redo your edits.
-
The project must be a new Connected Project in WorksManager Pro.
-
Calculations can be completed on imported TTM surfaces and surveyed surfaces in the project. Measurements on data from machine as-builts are on the roadmap. For details, see Make and Save Measurements.
-
WorksManager does not currently support displaying .pro file data in the Design Preview; this also affects the 3D Viewer.
